Hello all -

As you have likely noticed, I have as of roughly ten minutes ago taken down all of my deviations. Due to repeated uses of my work without permission and no longer being able to spend time here on DA often enough to maintain and police it - something I haven't wanted to have to do anyway - I don't see that I have much option otherwise.

I can't say for sure whether I'll be gone forever. This year has been singularly difficult and I recognize that having been dealing with some intensely painful and exhausting personal things has affected my outlook on pretty much everything of late. I may be back at some point, and I may re-upload someday. But for now, this is a choice made for the sake of my own health, and a result of current, unfortunate disillusionment and lost trust in DA.

Thank you all for the support and love you have shown me over the years. This space and the people in it have had an important influence and place in my life and my growth as an artist, and that does not go unappreciated.

Take care of yourselves as best you can. Stay safe, and be well.

IMPORTANT~ PLEASE READ

To all followers, watchers and passersby: first and foremost I want to thank you for all of the interest and the support over the years. I know I am often inactive for large amounts and time and don't post nearly as often as I used to, but I am so grateful for each and every one of you. You are amazing, and I love you.

I'm sorry to say that I was just recently notified about an instance of theft of some of my work, and it's called into question whether or not I should remain a part of the DA community. Not due to any issue on the part of DA, or its users, or even the theft itself - although that is a small part of it. While I still design and plan on doing so far into the future, I don't finish/polish and post things at the rate I used to simply because of life demands and because I have been spending much of my time working with other mediums (including actually creating some of the things in my brain with actual fabric and such). I realize that much of the reason people follow this page is in the hope of seeing more pieces, which isn't something I can promise with any speed or regularity. The question I have is whether I should keep this page up if I can't be active enough to produce regularly.

This is not a hasty decision made in reaction to something happening, but one that I've been mulling over for a few years now. DA has played a significant part in shaping me as an artist and as an online presence, and in helping me understand my value as both. I don't want to leave it. But to be perfectly honest, I've never seen my art duplicated and used like this anywhere else on the web. This is at least the fourth time I have had to address theft here; and while I understand that the risk of theft is simply a part of using the internet, that to expect it is almost a part of the contract of its use, I am simply tired of having to police (or having others policing for me) this site that was founded for artists and for a love and respect for the art community. And as sad and hurt as it makes me feel, I am strongly considering taking down the content and wiping the page altogether because I don't know what else to do.

I am not writing this to ask for pity, or attention, or to call for a persecution of those who have wronged me. I simply want to know what you all think. Considering that the work I post is not fine art, astounding, innovative, or truly entertaining - should I keep the page up regardless of whether I update more? I can't promise a decision one way or another, but I will certainly take DA opinions into consideration.

Once again, thank you all so much for being you, and for being here. I love you. Take care of each other.

~Commission Prices & Payment~

Rate of pricing depends on the complexity of the request. Purchaser will receive a high-quality scan of the completed design and the rights to use the design however, whenever, and wherever they so choose. You may have the design made into a physical garment, have other artists use it in their work, use it in your own drawings, and post it wherever you wish. I ask only that I be credited properly as the designer. I also reserve the right to use of the design ONLY in the capacity of my personal portfolio. Otherwise the piece is yours and yours alone: there will be no other use of it by anyone else.

• Black and white linework: Starting at $20.
• Full color Male: Starting at $25.
• Full color Female: Starting at $30.
• Add back view: additional charge starting at $10 for waist-up, $15 for full view.

Please keep in mind that these are ballpark figures. Depending on the complexity and time requirements of a piece, I reserve the right to raise the overall price of the commission up to no more than $20 over the original stated price upon opening negotiations. Commissions of more than five pieces at one time will be discounted from full individual prices. Please contact me for more information.

Currently I am only able to accept PayPal until I can find other/better methods of taking payment. If you have any suggestions or experience to share, please do so!!

Work on a piece begins as soon as payment in received. I will send WIP sketches of the work, whereupon changes can be made before inking of the final version. Please contact me via a Note here on DA, or via loveliesbleeding2@hotmail.com.

~Reminders~

Unless you have purchased the rights to the design in question:

• I do not allow any use of my costume/clothing designs in original artwork.
• I do not allow any converting of my costume/clothing designs into physical garments.
• I do not allow any posting of my costume/clothing designs in other websites. You may link back to any of my pages, but please don't post the pictures anywhere else.
• I will make no exceptions, so please do not ask me.
• Please respect me as a fellow artist and follow my wishes.

Thank you so much!
